Pedestrian vs Truck Crash on 3rd Avenue near Southern Avenue Left One Fatality
PHOENIX, AZ (November 10, 2022) – Thursday night, one person died in a truck crash on 3rd Avenue, police said.
The incident happened on November 3rd just before 9:30 p.m. involving a semi-truck and a pedestrian.
The initial report showed a semi-truck fatally struck the man walking on the roadway.
Furthermore, officers transported the man to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
It was not known why the man was in the roadway at the time of the incident. The truck driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
No other information was released by the authorities and further investigation is ongoing.
