50-Year-Old Man Dies in Pedestrian Collision near Federal Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 6, 2022) – Sunday morning, police responded to a pedestrian crash on Euclid Avenue that killed one person.
The incident happened around 6:20 a.m., near Federal Boulevard on October 2nd.
Officers were dispatched in the area of Ridgeview/Webster neighborhood involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. Investigators say the driver of a northbound vehicle struck the pedestrian in the area.
Paramedics arrived and transported the severely injured pedestrian to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim.
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained uninjured and stayed at the scene. Following preliminary duties, officers did not suspect that alcohol was a potential factor.
No additional details have been released at this time. At this time, the cause of the pedestrian crash on Euclid Avenue is still under active investigation.
