Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Two Vehicles near Rohnert Park

SANTA ROSA, CA (December 5, 2022) – Early Monday morning, a pedestrian collision on Stony Point Road claimed the life of one person.

The fatal incident happened just after 5:30 a.m. on Wilfred Avenue near Rohnert Park, per initial reports.

According to the investigators, a pedestrian walking on the right shoulder of Story Point Road walked directly in front of a southbound Ford Ranger.

However, the driver failed to avoid the pedestrian, leaving the person with serious injuries. The Ford driver immediately stopped and contacted 911.

CHP also claimed that a second vehicle hit the victim but failed to stop at the scene.

Eventually, the first responders arrived and transported the pedestrian to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead due to the extent of their injuries.

At this time, the deceased person’s identity remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
