Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Interstate 10

TEMPE, AZ (December 13, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, one person was killed in a motorcycle accident on US 60.

Police responded to the scene around 3:15 a.m., near Interstate 10 on November 26th.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that the incident occured in the HOV westbound lanes.

Medical personnel arrived and rushed the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital with heavy injuries. Due to the extent of their injuries sustained, the unidentified rider was later pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the westbound lanes of the highway were closed for a brief time to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

An active investigation to determine more information about the motorcycle accident on US 60 is still currently underway. Additional details will be updated as they become available to the public.
