Fatal Multi-Car Accident near New Airport Road in Auburn

AUBURN, CA (August 11, 2021) – Friday afternoon, one person was killed in a three-vehicle collision on Bell Road, just east of New Airport Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 4:37 p.m., on July 30. Dispatchers arrived to the scene shortly after.

Per reports, a white Nissan Rogue sideswiped a tan station wagon before striking a black Honda Civic head-on. Due to the impact of the crash, the driver of the Civic was pronounced dead at the scene.

Paramedics also transported the driver of the Nissan to a nearby hospital with major injuries. However, there has been no update on their condition.

Bell Road was blocked in both directions while preliminary duties took place. But, the road has since reopened.

There are no more available details about the crash at this time.

Meanwhile, the events leading up to the three-vehicle collision on Bell Road are still under active investigation.
