Fatality Reported after Off-Roading Accident in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 12, 2021) – Tuesday night, one person was killed in a deadly off-road crash in Jamul, a rural and remote area.

The crash took place around 11:34 p.m. near 17850 W. Boundary Truck Trail, per the report. Officers arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a law-enforcement helicopter was dispatched to help. However, further events leading up to the collision remain unavailable.

In addition the trail was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the road has since reopened.

No further details have been provided to the public at this time. However, an active investigation is underway.
