Vehicle vs Pedestrian Crash on Northern Avenue near Interstate 17 Left One Fatality

PHOENIX, AZ (March 29, 2023) – Thursday morning, a pedestrian crash on Northern Avenue left one person killed, police said.

According to Phoenix police, the incident happened just before 6 a.m., March 23rd, near Interstate 17.

Upon arriving, officers learned that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

Consequently, the pedestrian suffered injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the vehicle involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officials.

A large portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Furthermore, the identity of the deceased was not yet determined and the crash is still under investigation.
