Pedestrian Seriously Hurt after Car Collision on 54th Street

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 22, 2022) – A pedestrian crash on 54th Street left a 50-year-old man with injuries, early Tuesday morning.

The accident happened in the 3600 block of 54th Street outside a crosswalk, per initial reports.

Furthermore, police said a 33-year-old driver in a southbound 2003 Mercury Mountaineer struck the pedestrian while traveling in the No. 2 lane on 54th Street.

San Diego Officials stated the man ran in front of the vehicle, for reasons unknown, leaving him with serious injuries.

Meanwhile, the identity of the other involved parties have not been released at this moment.
