Wrong-Way Crash on State Route 87 Left One Fatality
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (November 24, 2021) – A wrong-way car crash on State Route 87 claimed the life of one person Wednesday night.
According to authorities, the crash took place before 10 p.m. along State Route 87 between Oak Street and McDowell Road.
Eventually, officers arrived on the scene to find two vehicles, both heavily damaged, blocking the route.
Moreover, one of the automobiles was believed to be traveling in the incorrect way.
According to the SRPD, one person involved in the incident was assessed by medical personnel but did not require further treatment. Another individual was extracted from the car and sent to the hospital, where they died as a result of their injuries.
There was no other information available at the time.
