Stolen Car Collision on Moraga Way Left One Hurt, One Dead

ORINDA, CA (June 28, 2022) – On Saturday, a police pursuit ended in a vehicle crash on Glorietta Boulevard and left one person dead.

The accident happened at the intersection of Glorietta Boulevard and Moraga Way, police stated.

Furthermore, according to reports, a pursuit started after the vehicle failed to stop when officers attempted to pull the driver over.

Consequently, pursuing officers said they stopped after the chase reached dangerously high speeds.

Eventually, the stolen vehicle from Richmond rolled over and crashed in the intersection.

Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle succumbed to their injuries at the scene while the passenger was hospitalized for treatment of critical injuries.

At this time, Orinda Officials shutdown both directions of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
