One Victim Dead after Car Crash near Mile Marker 16

PEORIA, AZ (April 5, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, one person died after a two-vehicle collision on State Route 74.

According to reports, the collision happened around 1:48 p.m., on the westbound lanes of the highway, near mile marker 16. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.

Emergency crews pronounced one unknown victim dead at the scene. However, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear.

Meanwhile, police closed the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

Peoria Police have not released any additional information about the collision. More details will be updated as they are made available to the public.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway.
