Multi-Vehicle Accident near Mowry Avenue Left One Driver Dead

NEWARK, CA (August 30, 2022) – On Saturday morning, one person died after a three-vehicle crash on Cherry Street, authorities said.

According to the police, the fatal collision happened around 2:30 a.m. near Mowry Avenue.

Furthermore, investigators believed that speed and intoxication played a role in the multi-vehicle crash.

Unfortunately, responding officials declared one person dead at the scene. Another driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, a third driver and their passengers were also taken to a hospital as a precaution.

The identities of all parties involved have not been released at this time, additional information will be posted as it becomes available to the public.
