Pinned Victim Dies in Vehicle Collision near Stoneridge Road

AUSTIN, TX (January 15, 2024) – On Thursday afternoon, police were called to a crash on Loop 360 that killed one person.

The incident occurred on December 7th around 12:40 p.m. in the southbound lanes near Stoneridge Road involving two vehicles.

Upon arrival, the Austin-Travis County EMS found one person pinned between the vehicles. They promptly extricated the individual, and a subsequent update indicated that they succumbed to their injuries and passed away.

Furthermore, three other occupants were injured in the collision, wherein two of them refused to be transported to the hospital.

Consequently, the authorities blocked the southbound lanes of the highway and motorists were advised to seek other routes.

Moreover, the authorities have yet to release the identities of the involved parties in the collision, and further investigation is currently ongoing.
