Traffic Accident on Lacey Lane Left One Fatality

CONCORD, CA (August 23, 2022) – An early Wednesday evening three-car collision on Monument Boulevard claimed the life of one person.

The incident happened on August 17th around 5:53 p.m. at the intersection of Monument and Lacey Lane involving three vehicles, police said.

For reasons currently unknown, three vehicles collided in the intersection. Officers arrived at the scene and pronounced one 84-year-old man dead.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released by the authorities at this time.

Moreover, the other two involved drivers remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities, no other injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, lanes on Monument Boulevard between Lacey and Reganti Drive were shut down for several hours to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties, but it has reopened since.

An active investigation into the three-car collision on Monument Boulevard is currently underway.
