Multi-Vehicle Pile-Up Near Euclid Avenue Left Several Casualties

UPLAND, CA (June 27, 2023) – Sunday night, a ten-vehicle collision on 10 Freeway left one person dead and six other people with injuries. The crash occurred around 8:39 p.m. just west of Euclid Avenue, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department. Initially, four or five cars collided in the westbound part of the freeway, causing one of those cars to flip onto the eastbound lanes. The first responders declared the occupant of the flipped car dead at the scene. However, their identity has not been disclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin. Additionally, firefighters extricated several people from their vehicles. It was unclear how many people were hospitalized, although, six people were confirmed to be injured. In the end, officials closed down both sides of 10 Freeway as crews clear out the scene. No further details regarding the ten-vehicle collision have been released to the public.
