One Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig Accident on 91 Freeway

CORONA, CA (April 7, 2022) – Early Thursday morning, one person was pronounced dead after a semi-truck crash on Green River Road.

Around 12:56 a.m., officers responded to the scene on the eastbound lanes of 91 Freeway and Green River Road.

The big-rig had collided with a 2010 Volvo that struck a work truck on the right shoulder of the freeway. As per reports, the semi with a white trailer then bursted into flames on the side of the freeway.

According to authorities, officers located a person in lane two of the freeway upon arrival. However, it was not yet determined if the victim was a driver or a pedestrian.

Meanwhile, police officers reported only one fatality in the accident. Although, their identity has not been released.

No further information was made available. At this time, an active investigation into the fatal semi-truck crash on Green River Road is still ongoing.
