Traffic Accident on Philbric Road Left One Fatality
SANTA MARIA, CA (May 5, 2022) – A semi-truck crash near Betteravia Road claimed the life of one person Monday morning, police said.
According to the police, the crash happened around 6:35 a.m. near East Betteravia Road and Philbric Road.
Unfortunately, one person in a sedan was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the impact, Santa Barbara County officials confirmed.
Meanwhile, fire officials said the semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries, and one person in the sedan received non-life threatening injuries.
In the end, emergency crews remained on scene to clean up a fuel leak and wires knocked down during the incident.
Furthermore, no other information about the fatal accident is available at this time. Santa Maria officials continue to investigate the fatal semi-truck crash.
