One Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Queen Creek Road

CHANDLER, AZ (September 9, 2022) – Monday evening, one victim was fatally struck in a rollover crash on Interstate 10.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash involved a truck and an SUV. Both vehicles were traveling along Interstate 10 when they collided. One of the vehicles was overturned and its driver was ejected.

It is still unclear if the truck or the SUV was the one that rolled over. Additionally, the ejected driver died at the scene but their identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened. In addition, towing services were required to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene.

At this time, the cause of the fatal rollover crash on Interstate 10 is still under investigation. However, more information will be provided to the public once made available.
