Pedestrian Crash on Thompson Boulevard Left Elderly Woman Dead
VENTURA, CA (December 8, 2021) – Police are investigating a pedestrian crash on Thompson Boulevard that left an elderly woman killed Monday afternoon.
The fatal incident occurred around 6:06 p.m. near the intersection of Thompson Boulevard and Figueroa Street.
According to the investigators, a car backing out of a parking lot struck the woman walking east in the 200 block of Thompson.
As a result, the impact knocked the woman down causing her to become trapped underneath the vehicle.
Unfortunately, the elderly woman succumbed to her injuries around 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
Meanwhile, the police pointed out that the involved driver remained at the scene for investigation.
The Ventura Police Department is currently investigating the pedestrian crash.
