Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on Pacheco Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 12, 2022) – Friday evening, a pedestrian crash on Calloway Road claimed the life of one man.

Bakersfield Police Department said the crash happened just after 6:30 p.m., in the 300 block of Pacheco Road. Crews responded to the scene shortly after.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that a man was struck by a vehicle. Furthermore, the male pedestrian suffered major injuries due to the impact of the crash.

Eventually, paramedics transported the pedestrian to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol and speed were not considered factors in the deadly accident.
