Pedestrian Accident on Ajo Highway near Kinney Left One Dead, Road Prompted Road Closures

TUCSON, AZ (January 5, 2022) – On Thursday morning, a pedestrian crash on Ajo Highway left one person dead.

According to reports, the pedestrian crash happened on Ajo Highway near Kinney Road at around 4:39 a.m.

Furthermore, paramedics immediately responded to the scene where authorities declared the victim dead.

Meanwhile, the pedestrian crash caused a traffic delay near State Route 86 eastbound at Milepost 166, west of Tucson.

The road was reopened sometime around 8:55 a.m.

Authorities are still investigating the pedestrian accident
