Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Accident near Los Feliz Boulevard

LOS FELIZ, CA (May 23, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, one victim was pronounced dead after a pedestrian crash on 5 Freeway.

Officers located the pedestrian down on the road around 6:15 a.m., near the center divider of the freeway, just north of Loz Feliz Boulevard.

Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

At this time, the events leading up to the deadly accident remain unknown. Authorities suspect that the victim was struck by one or more passing vehicles. However, none of the drivers stayed at the scene.

Loz Feliz Officials temporarily shutdown the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

The identities of those involved in the pedestrian crash on 5 Freeway have not been disclosed at this time. Moreover, an active investigation is still currently underway.
