I-10 Pedestrian Collision Resulted in One Fatality

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (July 26, 2022) – A pedestrian accident on Interstate 10 claimed the life of one person, Thursday night.

According to San Bernardino Authorities, the crash happened around 9:16 p.m. on the eastbound I-10 and 215 interchange, before the Waterman Avenue exit.

Investigations said a passing vehicle struck a pedestrian walking in the traffic lanes, for reasons unknown.

Eventually, CHP arrived at the scene and located the pedestrian lying in the fast lane.

First responders pronounced the person dead at the scene, due to the extent of their injuries. Although, their identity has not yet been released, pending notification of their next of kin.

Meanwhile, the involved driver from the pedestrian accident remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.

San Bernardino Officials are asking anyone with information to contact local authorities as soon as possible. An active investigation into the fatal pedestrian collision is currently underway.
