Traffic Collision near South Avenue J Left One Fatality

LANCASTER, CA (September 15, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning, one person died after a pedestrian accident in Antelope Valley.

Officers responded to the fatal collision around 4:48 a.m. at the Antelope Valley 14 Freeway and South Avenue J.

According to the California Highway Patrol, police located the victim lying on the roadway, however, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.

Eventually, authorities declared the pedestrian died at the scene. Although, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

In the end, officials closed the northbound No. 3 lane of the freeway to conduct an investigation.
