Victim Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Collision on Simpson Road

WINCHESTER, CA (May 5, 2022) – A two-vehicle crash on Highway 79 killed one victim, and injured another Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 1:20 p.m., on the southbound lanes of the highway at Simpson Road, near Winchester Farms.

According to reports, a BMW sedan and another vehicle collided in the area. However, further circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.

In addition, a witness claimed that one of the vehicles was speeding and went around traffic on the two-lane corridor.

Medical personnel pronounced one victim dead at the scene, due to the extent of their condition.  Meanwhile, the other unidentified victim sustained moderate to major injuries.

At this time, Winchester Officials continue to investigate the deadly two-vehicle crash.
