Multi-Car Crash near Wilcox Road Left 76-year-old Woman Dead

RED BLUFF, CA (December 22, 2021) – A woman died Friday night after a multi-vehicle crash near Wilcox Road, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 5 p.m. of December 17th on northbound Interstate 5, south of the Wilcox Road exit, California Highway Patrol said.

It started with a black 2016 Jeep that hit a 2002 Honda, which then hit a Ford.

The chain of crashes resulted in one casualty: a 76-year-old woman from Red Bluff whose identity was withheld from reports.

She had been driving the Honda and was accompanied by a 3-year-old passenger whose condition is still unknown.

The incident led to the closure of northbound Interstate 5 for a time, causing major traffic.

Police are still investigating this incident.
