Multi-Vehicle Crash on Chester Avenue Left At Least One Fatality

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 2, 2021) A deadly multi-vehicle crash on Chester Avenue left one person killed Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Chester Avenue and Brundage Lane.

According to the authorities, a vehicle pulled out in front of two eastbound vehicles on Brundage resulting in a collision.

Unfortunately one person died, in the third vehicle, on the 1500 block of Brundage lane.

Later on, the Bakersfield Police Department learned that alcohol and speed appeared to be factors in the crash.

Meanwhile, the other drivers involved in the incident sustained minor to moderate injuries.

In the end, officials closed the lanes for several hours while they investigated.
