Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 99 Resulted in One Fatality

SACRAMENTO, CA (September 17, 2021) – Authorities responded to reports of a fatal multi-vehicle collision on Highway 99 at Stockton Boulevard.

The accident occurred around 2:37 a.m. in the area of Stockton Boulevard on Highway 99, according to police.

Furthermore, the Elk Grove Police Department stated that multiple vehicles collided for reasons unknown, causing a major pile-up.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene to treat one individual with major injuries, despite life-saving measures taken, they were pronounced dead on the scene.

Meanwhile, the identity of the deceased has not yet been released.

In addition, authorities are unsure if drugs or alcohol played a roll in the fatal collision.

Ultimately and active investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
