Motorcycle Accident near Interstate 5 Left One Dead

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 30, 2022) – On Monday morning, an unidentified rider lost his life in a motorcycle collision on Coronado Avenue.

The accident happened on August 15th, at around 6:15 a.m., on Coronado Avenue, near east of Interstate 5.

According to California Highway Patrol, the events leading to the crash remain unknown. However, a motorcycle rider reportedly crashed into a flatbed truck.

First responders arrived shortly after and rushed the rider to a nearby hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries. Authorities have withheld the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, the collision caused a temporary road closure on Coronado Avenue while crews cleaned up the wreck. San Diego Police are still investigating the fatal motorcycle crash and will provide updates as they become available.
