Rider Pronounced Dead after Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident on Crossley Road
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (May 23, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, a hit-and-run on Ramon Road left one person killed and another injured.
Around 1:20 a.m., police responded to the scene near the intersection of Crossley and Ramon Road. For reasons unknown, the driver of a pickup-truck struck a motorcycle.
Eventually, medics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene while their passenger was hospitalized with critical injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
Additionally, the involved pickup-truck driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.
Both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
An active investigation into the hit-and-run on Ramon Road is currently underway. Anyone with further information is urged to contact Cathedral City Police as soon as possible.
