Man Dies after a Hit-and-Run Crash on Crenshaw Boulevard

KOREATOWN, CA (October 4, 2021) An unidentified man died tragically Tuesday after a deadly hit-and-run on Crenshaw Boulevard.

The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. along Crenshaw Boulevard and Ninth Street.

According to the CHP, a white car traveling south on Crenshaw struck a man who was crossing the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk.

Paramedics then transported the injured victim, only identified as a man in his 30’s, to a local hospital, where he later died.

Meanwhile, the driver stopped and exited the vehicle, but then re-entered and fled the scene without identifying themselves or rendering aid, according to authorities.

At this time, police stated that no further information about the car or the driver was available.

The city of L.A. has set a prize of up to $50,000 for information leading to the conclusion of the hit-and-run.

An active investigation is underway.
