Fiery Crash near Mexican Border in San Diego Left One Fatality
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 1, 2021) – A fiery crash on I-5 claimed the life of one person Sunday morning, police said.
Officers responded to the reported incident just after 8:41 a.m. at the right shoulder of Interstate 5 near Dairy Mart Road.
Upon arrival, the CHP determined that a vehicle struck a tree that caused the vehicle to be engulfed in flames.
Furthermore, the fire from the crash spread throughout the nearby vegetation that firefighters extinguished.
At this time, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the deceased victim.
Officials are investigating the fiery I-5 crash.
