Deadly Auto Collision near Lone Hill Lane

SAN DIMAS, CA (February 15, 2022) – A fiery crash on 210 Freeway took the life of one person and two dogs, early Thursday morning.

According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 4:22 a.m., just east of Lone Hill Lane.

Per reports, the driver of a 1994 Express van attached to a small trailer was heading west on the highway. There, the vehicle side swiped a tractor trailer, causing the driver to lost control of the van.

As a result, the van veered off the road before striking a sound wall and bursting into flames. Due to the extent of their condition, the driver and two dogs were pronounced dead at the scene around 4:37 a.m.

In addition, the 45-year-old tractor trailer driver did not sustain any injuries.

Firefighters remained on scene for at least an hour to clean up and assist with preliminary duties. San Dimas Officials are currently investigating the 210 Freeway crash.

At this time, the identity of the deceased driver remains unavailable, pending notification from their next of kin.
