Driver Dead after Box Truck Crash near San Francisco International Airport

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 25, 2022) – Friday evening, one driver was pronounced dead following a truck collision on Highway 101.

Around 7:27 p.m., police responded to the scene near the San Francisco International Airport.

Following preliminary investigations, police said the driver of the car was trying to make a U-turn across double yellow lines and hit the truck.

Eventually, paramedics transported the severely injured male driver to a hospital where he later died. At this time, officials have not released their identity. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.

Officers closed the surrounding area during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened. Once available, further details will be provided about the truck collision on Highway 101.
