Cyclist Dead after SUV-Bicycle Crash on Auburn Boulevard near Madison Avenue

SACRAMENTO, CA (February 2, 2023) – Early Saturday evening, one victim died after a bicycle crash on Auburn Boulevard.

The incident happened on December 24th, at around 5:30 p.m., just south of Madison Avenue.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that one bicyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Authorities also said the incident happened in a heavily traveled area for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Those with further information are encouraged to contact Sacramento Officials as soon as possible.
