69-Year-Old Cyclist Fatally Struck in Bicycle Accident on Feather River Boulevard near Country Club Road

MARYSVILLE, CA (February 6, 2023) – Thursday night, one victim died in a bicycle accident on Feather River Boulevard. The incident occurred on January 19th, at around 7:30 p.m., near Country Club Road. According to reports, a bicyclist was riding in the area west of Plumas Lake Gold Club when a pickup truck struck them. The impact of the collision ejected the rider from his bike and left him with serious head injuries. First responders to the crash declared the 69-year-old cyclist, from Yuba City, dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not released their identity yet, pending notification of next of kin. Following the collision, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. At this time, an investigation into the accident is currently underway. Once more information is made available, Yuba City officials will update the public.
