Victim Hospitalized after Multi-Car Accident near Briarwood Road

SOUTH BAY, CA (August 12, 2022) – Saturday evening, one victim was hospitalized following a 3-vehicle crash on State Route 54.

Police responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m., near Briarwood Road on August 6th. The collision involved a Ford Mustang, a Lexus, and a truck.

According to initial reports, the Ford and the Lexus crashed in the middle of the freeway, after which a truck collided into the Lexus. In addition, the impact caused the Lexus to overturn.

The force of the collision also trapped the Lexus driver inside of their vehicle, requiring extrication. Medical personnel arrived and rushed the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Moreover, the driver of the truck escaped with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the two Ford occupants remained unharmed.

The identities of all involved parties have not been disclosed, and further investigations are underway.
