Amtrak Train Crash on Rumrill Boulevard Left One Hurt

SAN PABLO, CA (November 30, 2021) – A train crash on Rumrill Boulevard between an Amtrak Train and a truck left one person injured Monday night.

According to the authorities, the incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. at Rumrill Boulevard and Chelsea Avenue.

Furthermore, the 30 occupants inside the train received no injuries. Meanwhile, one of the three people inside the truck sustained minor injuries.

The factors leading up to the collision and circumstances surrounding it are currently unknown.

In addition, the officials also determined that some passengers of the train appeared to be college students from Merced on the way home for Thanksgiving.

Later, Amtrak stated that they provided an alternate form of transportation for those who are impacted from the crash.

San Pablo Officials continue to investigate the train crash on Rumrill Boulevard.
