Suspected DUI Collision on Highway 41 Left One Hospitalized

FRESNO, CA (December 17, 2021) – A possible DUI collision on Highway 41 hospitalized one individual Sunday evening.

The accident happened around 11:30 p.m., December 5th, on southbound Highway 41 near Shields Avenue.

According to reports, an SUV driving southbound was hit by an another car. Eventually, the impact sent the SUV rolling and crashing into the center median.

Responding paramedics took the SUV driver to a hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the car did not sustain any injuries.

Officials said alcohol was a factor and arrested the car driver on suspicion of DUI.

Further information about the wreck is not publicly available, and the collision is still being investigated.

Fresno police did not release any additional information at this time. However, further investigation is underway.
