Man Hospitalized after Pedestrian Crash on West Race Avenue

VISALIA, CA (June 17, 2022) – Saturday night, an unidentified victim sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Locust Street.

The incident occurred at 8:30 p.m., on June 11th at North Locust Street and West Race Avenue, according to initial reports.

Furthermore, authorities said a man near a crosswalk was struck by a car for reasons still unknown. First responders arrived and rushed the male victim to a local hospital for further treatment.

Officials have not released the victim’s name or current conditions at this moment. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

At this time, police do not consider drugs or alcohol to be contributing factors in the crash. Visalia officials stated an active investigation is currently underway.
