Fiery Crash on Mission Road Left One Seriously Hurt

FALLBROOK, CA (January 24, 2022) – A man sustained serious injuries after a head-on collision on Mission Road Monday afternoon.

The crash happened about 5:34 p.m. involving a Sprinter van and a Sedan.

Furthermore according to authorities, the Sprinter Van was engulfed in flames after colliding with the Sedan.

Fire crews along with first responders arrived immediately to the scene.

Meanwhile, one lane opened to divert the traffic in the area.

Moreover, an off-duty Fallbrook Sheriff’s deputy and several Marines assisted the injured man trapped in the driver’s seat inside the sedan.

Afterward, the man was successfully pulled out of the vehicle before it caught fire like the Van. The driver received a wound to his leg, passersby and rescuers aided the man by putting a tourniquet to the victim’s leg.

Paramedics brought the driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The collision remains under active investigation.
