Bicycle Collision on Highway 101 Left One Hospitalized

CARPINTERIA, CA (January 28, 2022)One individual sustained injuries after a bicycle collision on Highway 101 Wednesday morning.

The accident happened around 5:45 a.m. along Highway 101 on-ramp at Bailard Road.

Furthermore, according to reports, a car turning onto the Highway 101 on-ramp collided with a bicycle crossing in front of the on-ramp.

Consequently, responding paramedics took the bicyclist to Cottage Hospital for treatment.

Both directions of the roadway were closed to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Moreover, officials do not have information on the extent of his injuries at this point.

Meantime, authorities have not yet released a description of the vehicle or driver involved.

However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
