1 Hospitalized after Two-Car Accident near Mount Rose Highway

INCLINE VILLAGE, NV (March 8, 2022) At least one person sustained injuries in a fiery crash near McCourry Boulevard Wednesday night.

The two-car accident happened around 8:22 p.m., near McCourry Boulevard. Crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Initial reports indicate that one vehicle was found engulfed by flames after striking another vehicle. However, the events leading up to the accident remain unclear.

In addition, medics transported one victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.

Emergency crews advised motorists to avoid the area to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. Meanwhile, the Mount Rose Highway reopened around 10:30 p.m. after closing for several hours.

At this time, an active investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
