One Injured after Car Crashes into Coffee Shop on Redwood Road

CASTRO VALLEY, CA (November 15, 2021) One person sustained injuries after a car crashed into a coffee shop on Redwood Road.

The accident happened shortly before 4:40 p.m. on November 4, at Peet’s Coffee, along Redwood Road and Castro Valley Boulevard.

According to CHP, officers received a report of a car that jumped the curb and crashed straight into Peet’s Coffee, injuring one person.

Authorities did not release the name of the victim though described as a minor.

Responding officers arrived and rendered aid to the victim and fixed minor damages in the shop.

Police did not release any additional information at this time. However, the accident remains under investigation.


When driving, it is important to always drive within the posted speed limit and maintain a safe following distance from the vehicles in front of you. A three- to five-second following distance is recommended to avoid dangerous situations. Also, slow down if you see traffic stalling ahead to avoid hitting other vehicles.
