Fiery Crash on Interstate 8 Left One Injured

MISSION VALLEY, CA (December 17, 2021) – A fiery crash on Interstate 8 left one person hospitalized Tuesday evening.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 10:42 p.m.

Furthermore, reports say that the car burst into flames after colliding with another vehicle on the eastbound side of Interstate 8, near the transition to Interstate 805.

Moreover, authorities said the crash sent one of the cars down an embankment and into a ditch.

Consequently, the car burst into flames moments later.

Additionally, responding firefighters put out the car fire before it spread to nearby brush.

Meanwhile, the driver managed to escape before the vehicle was fully engulfed. Paramedics transported the driver to a local hospital for treatment.

At this time, the identities of those involved in the crash have not been disclosed.
