Victim Injured in Two-Vehicle Auto Accident on Wabash Avenue

EUREKA, CA (July 25, 2022) – Late Thursday morning, a car crash on Koster Street left one person hospitalized.

The accident happened around 11:30 a.m., near the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, on the corner of Wabash Avenue and Koster Street.

According to Eureka Police, the collision involved a yellow City of Eureka truck and a white SUV. At least one person occupying the SUV was severely injured in the accident.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and rushed the injured party to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

At this time, Eureka Officials are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash. Following preliminary investigations, the area was reopened to traffic.
