Vehicle Crash on South Calle Santa Cruz Prompts Traffic Backup

TUCSON, AZ (January 4, 2022) – Thursday, at least one person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle auto accident on Irvington Road.

According to the Tucson Police Department, the crash occurred on Irvington Road and South Calle Santa Cruz.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision are still unclear. However, paramedics transported at least one person to a local hospital after suffering critical injuries.

Authorities did not disclose the identities of those involved, or their current condition. Meanwhile, the Tucson Police Department stated that no roads were closed, however there were significant traffic delays.
