82-Year-Old Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Manon Avenue

HAYWARD, CA (December 13, 2022) Wednesday morning, an elderly woman was pronounced dead after a pedestrian crash on Harris Road. 

The incident happened around 7:50 a.m., at the intersection near Manon Avenue. 

According to initial reports, the driver of a vehicle struck the woman and left the scene on foot, but later returned and cooperated with the police. 

Investigators claimed that the collision trapped the victim underneath the car. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 82-year-old female victim dead at the scene. 

However, her identity remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification of her next of kin. 

Emergency crews closed a large portion of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties, before it was later opened. Once available, further details will be provided about the pedestrian crash on Harris Road.
