22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Fatal Collision on Highway 1

BIG SUR, CA (July 22, 2022) – Monday afternoon, one victim was pronounced dead after a motorcycle accident near Bixby Bridge.

The fatal incident occurred around 3:00 p.m., on Highway 1 near the Bixby Bridge on July 18th.

The collision involved a 2009 Harley Davidson and a 2018 Honda Clarity. Per reports, the southbound motorcyclist lost control and veered into the northbound lane where he collided head-on with the Honda.

The impact of the crash left the motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries. Officers arrived shortly after and pronounced the 22-year-old motorcyclist dead at the scene.

Authorities closed the surrounding area during cleanup and preliminary duties.
