Victim Killed in 2-Car Collision near 91 Freeway

CORONA, CA (August 17, 2022) – Early Monday morning, a two-vehicle crash on the 71 Freeway claimed the life of one person.

The incident happened around 2:27 a.m., just north of the 91 Freeway. According to California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided while traveling along the northbound lanes.

Upon arrival, emergency crews located one vehicle blocking the number 2 lane, and another off the road in a ditch, with an unconscious woman inside. It is unclear whether anyone else was hurt in the crash.

At this time, further circumstances leading up to the deadly crash remain unknown. However, California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the two-vehicle crash on 71 Freeway. Witnesses to the incident are encouraged to call local authorities as soon as possible.
